I am a deeply passionate and upbeat person who spends a great deal of time with her close friends and family. I tend to be somewhat reserved and shy around those I don't know, hence the reason for a somewhat pathetic love life. I am pretty upfront and honest about what I want in a relationship, which typically scares off most of the guys I meet, since a great many in my area are looking for nothing more than a casual fling. I live in a really small town right now, which limits my options in the dating field. Add to this the fact that I have high standards (for this area ;p) and spend most of my time either working or studying, and you can get a better picture of why I am still single. Apparently meeting a guy that has a job and full set of teeth is a rare find in my area. Just kidding, although sadly not that much *frowning*. What else can I say that hasn't already been said a million times? Hmm...well like I said, I'm not into playing games or creating drama. I am a woman who is deeply devoted to the man in her life, but at the same time I don't trip over whether or not he looks at or talks to another woman. I'm pretty secure in who I am and if a man cheats on me, then I'll show him to the door and I usually say this at the beginning of any relationship. Because of this understanding, I feel that the guy needs to have his freedom and own friends because hovering over him isn't going to prevent him from straying, in fact, it's probably going to make it more likely to happen. I totally against women nagging their men as well, because it's so counter-productive and childish. Personally, any guy that puts up with it is a fool and deserves better. A relationship should be based on mutual respect and common decency. Getting married shouldn't be something to feared or to become resigned to. Sadly, I've seen many a friend compromise simply for the sake of "being together" or not being alone. That is not for me, nor hopefully for you. Okay, I'll get off my little soap box now ;p. Bottom-line, I am here to find a friend and hopefully something more. While looks are important initially, I hope that you can look past that and see that I have much more to offer than simply a pretty face. Having done some modeling, I can safely say that beauty really is only skin deep. Some of the most ugly people have been really gorgeous on the outside. Plus, make-up and camera lens can do some amazing things for some otherwise not that visually incredible people. You would be surprised at some of the before and after pictures of models; I know I was. Very few look that amazing all the time. Plus, do guys really want to date a girl that can't join them in devouring a great big cheeseburger because they might gain a pound? *rolls eyes* Life's too short to hold off on eating a nice, juicy quarter-pounder once and awhile. (hmm..I must be hungry cause that sounds really good) Especially when your watching your favorite football game! Did I mention that I had three brother, so I'm pretty big on sports and guy things?
