About me:
I can be honest to the point of blunt, yet well mannered, tactful, and polite. I'm good at articulating how I feel and what I think. (I talk.) If you don't talk, we could be in trouble. I will admit when I'm wrong. (If you call me on it). I'll call you on it, too, but only because I like you. I believe in respect, and don't put up with BS. I'm not a floozy. I think good communication is key. Sometimes I need a little time to work through my emotions and understand them, but I come around. I like resolution. I think hate is a terrible word. I'm a city girl from the suburbs. I love people, conversation, great food, good wine, music, art and all the other recreational parts of life that cool people do. I am a planner. I've had fun traveling, but good company is my only travel essential. Gemstone moments can happen ten minutes from home, or ten hours from it. I'm creative, but tend to be good at a lot of things, which sometimes makes it hard to choose what to work on. Like I could have been a great attorney, at least that's what my brother says. I would rather make sacrifices to do what I love the most rather than pursue things that I'm good at and just sort of like. I'm not addicted to soy lattes or US Magazine or drugs or religion, but I am partial to productivity. I like getting things done. I love what I do. Even so, I usually will sacrifice sleep for fun. I really like people. I like reading them more than books. Most of all, I love my family, and wish LA to Chicago was only an hour flight. But I like LA. I'm not planning on leaving any time soon. I dabble: I'm handy and can build things, or rewire the phone lines, or reupholster the sofa, or mend the hole in your jeans, or write you half of a song. I want to do something groundbreaking and inspiring with my life. It is still a work in progress. I love the moments in my life when just for a second I feel like this is what I am meant to do, and this is who I am meant to be. Sometimes I like velvet ropes, and sometimes dive bars. I have great taste, and like nice things, but am not afraid of frugality. Values and integrity are fairly important to me. I'm fairly independently minded, and totally despise bureaucracy, and loathe doing things that don't make sense simply because I've been told to do them. But I also believe in doing the right thing. I have a great sense of direction. I am pretty old fashioned and traditional when it comes to relationships so possibly someone who is also this way, i am very much a girly girly in the sense that I am the hopeless romantic, I like to create beauty in the world and am therefore interested in high fashion and makeup, however I am also a wannabe tomboy who enjoys hanging out with the guys, i like playing sports. I enjoy the duality of black/white photography, classical music and emotional music, whether it be death metal, punk, jazz, I enjoy all genres..music and dance (classical)are my passions.
