About me:
I am on my way to being a licensed counselor and desire, one day, to open a non-profit coffee house/music venue/counseling center for people in the community. I love working with and being around children, but can also appreciate the joys of more sophisticated and intellectual realm of high functioning adults. I am a Christian who is very serious about relationship with God, but is equally as frustrated with organized religion. I play the piano and guitar, but love to sing and write music most of all. I am also an artist and love to listen to music while I am painting. Some of my fondest and most vivid memories are from different hikes I have taken, both with amazing friends and on my own. There is a vast, yet often unnoticed gap between surviving and living. I cannot be content with the former and truly desire to seek the latter daily. This has caused me to love sports, music, dancing, reading, writing, education, and sacrifice. Surprisingly, I have found that giving of myself is most frequently the most positive way to find myself, not to mention it makes me a better friend than I might otherwise be.
