I still believe in true love and spending your life with someone who will be your best friend and have the maturity to face all of life's problems and still remain faithful and true. I find this site to be refreshing. My friends have tried to set me up on so many blind dates, I should get a free dog...Lol... I believe in surrounding yourself with positive people who are realistic and do not live in the land of denial. The only thing that will go away by ignoring it, is your teeth:0)I'm all about "living in the now." I'm very goal oriented and always looking for ways to improve myself or my future. No one ever got ahead by sitting on their behind:0) I try to learn from all my experiences, good or bad. Sometimes that means walking away from something, but learning how to make a really good ice tea.I would like to get to know someone that is willing to take the time to get to know me. This is the fun part... the sweet messages, the anonymity, the paying attention of details of each other's lives. I, by no means am saying never meet each other. In my experience with this site it becomes, "Hello. my name is.. Want to meet?" That appears to be more of a "hook-up" rather than looking for a possible future, as a relationship or even as friends.If that is you, that's fine. Everybody has a itch to scratch, but it is not me. If you want to get to know me, that's AWESOME... and by the time anyone figures out what we have been up to, we will be in sunny Mexico... Oh wait...That's the end of another plan...lol...I try to govern my life by true beauty and goodness, preferring a good and beautiful soul, rather than a pleasing body that housed a lesser self. Lack of self-control, prevents us from the finest expressions of pleasure in eating, drinking, resting, and making love. If we gratify every urge as soon as it arises, we must often settle for fast food, cheap drink, sleeping all day, or crude sexual encounters.I am a strong person and an analytical thinker. I have a curious, passionate, witty, and logical mind. I believe in justice and standing up for your beliefs. I have a Schindler's List complex... If I just would have given them more water... I do as I say, say as I mean. Keeping your word is extremely important to me. Its easier to fight for one's principles than to live up to them.I like people who posses these same qualities, not mindless sheep. It is important to be able to express your opinions. THEY MATTER! Don't let self-doubt interfere with the direction of your life. Otherwise, you will just be like every other person in this town, driving down the street like cattle in their metal coffins, sipping down their third overpriced, triple espresso, no foam late enemas. Lol... I just think it is important to be yourself... to not NEED someone...To be there because you WANT TO not HAVE TO. This world was made for people who weren't cursed with self-awareness:0)I have two English bulldogs, named Penelope and Sophia. I recently had to put my pug, Nigel down. I also have 2 red-eared sliders (Princess and Charlie), and two desert tortoises (Pebbles and Bam Bam), which I named incorrectly. I did not know their sex because I was trying to respect their privacy. It wasn't until this past spring, when I saw Pebbles in action, that I realized Shelia was a man...lol.
