Lindsey?s Concise Biography <p> Lindsey Danforth was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. At the age of five she followed in the footsteps of her mother by becoming the published author of a children?s book titled ?Me and My Friends?. For numerous years following the publication she traveled with her author mother as a guest lecturer to area schools and spoke about the importance of reading and writing (the book can still be found on Amazon.com). More recently Lindsey started her own business in the international sales of chemical hand warmers and was also the first American sales representative for a Canadian company called Origin Biomed for whom she still is employed. In addition to English, Lindsey can speak fluent Spanish, basic French and is currently learning Japanese. She also can say ?hello? in ten different languages. <p> Lindsey has many hobbies but her favorite is to travel. Experiencing new cultures has become a passion of hers and she especially likes trying exotic foods. ?I feel there is so much to learn from people and their history. I am lucky to have these opportunities,? she said. She spent the spring of 2005 studying in Luxembourg and was able to visit quite a few countries. Two years ago Lindsey went to southern Mexico with a small group of people from around the world to hike and bike through the jungles of the Yucatan. She spent close to two weeks sleeping in a hammock with only a bug net draped over her for protection. Despite the perils of the jungle, she loved having the chance to visit Mayan ruins that most people had never heard about. Aside from traveling she likes to sail, scuba dive, and train for triathlons. She completed her first triathlon just last summer. <p> Her education started at Miami University of Ohio where she studied Finance and spent six months at their European campus in Luxembourg. She then took a year off to start her business and now is continuing her education at the University of Toledo studying International Business. She hopes to find a job that can combine her love for a challenge and her love for world travel.
