About me:
must love playing on the water, cruising the river, crab legs and other seafood. Ok, those aren't must haves but maybe nice to have :)My summer weekends are generally spent with my family on the boat. I love to do things that might get my nails dirty, I'm a member of REI and have aspirations to do one of their adventures but it would be really great to share that experience with somebody. There is a kayaking trip in Annapolis with REI, would you like to go? I recently started running again - after a long long long hiatus. I competed in the Cherry Blossom 5k and in the Susan G. Koman Race for the Cure 5k. My times are not great but I'm determined and love the feeling after a good run. I try to go on at least one dive a year to the Cayman Islands and each time I see something different and experience a different adventure. I would love to meet somebody to go diving with, maybe even head down to Lake Rawlings for camping, cook outs and diving. I also have a pretty decent bike that I need to get out of storage more so how about a ride on the C&O? But while I do love to get dirty hiking I love to get all dressed up for a night on the town. Aside from all this adventure I'm drawn to I also have my sh*t together. I own my own condo in Fairfax in a central location, my car is paid off, i just graduated with my MA and my job rocks. I don't need to be saved or fixed. My family is strong and important to me. They live locally and I do see them nearly every other weekend. I attend McLean Bible Church on a regular basis and don't pretend to live my life according to what a "good church" goer is "supposed" to do. I live my life, try to do good, and know that my faith is continually challenged and growing. I prefer to be straight up rather than play games and dropping hints about what I want or need. I'm not a mind reader and I don't expect you to be either. Communication is so important and I'm generally a really forthright, open and honest. I was actually just told today that I "inspire trust and openness" in others. I don't know, take that for what it's worth but I'm always happy to listen. I like to take things as they come, prefer to be laid back but admit that at times I can be impatient. As far as dating goes I tend to take things slow. I don't expect us to be "dating" the first time we meet. I don't have a way to reach you other than sending a wink so you'll have to be creative to find me. Feel free to send a note if anything piques your interest. the book with the face on it is a good way to find me. Thanks, Mary Heller Have a great day!
