About me:
How do you measure success? Who would be there for you if you lost everything and were at your worst? What is your life principle, the motivation that drives your decisions? Can you put a price on a memory? I'm not expecting much from this site, but why not give it a try? I'm artistic, unique, funny, inspiring, intelligent, altruistic, loyal, honest, healthy, giving, funky, fun-loving, clean, energetic, considerate, creative, and loving. I write, I paint, I draw, I make music. I love animals and nature. I take amazing photographs. I have a keen eye for detail, excellent taste, a quick-wit, and silly sense of humor. I love to make people laugh, and do the little things that make a difference to those I care about most. Music and dance are two of my passions. I have an eclectic taste in music and love to be introduced to new styles. I love everything from Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Billie Holiday, Paco de Lucia, Janis Joplin, Egberto Gismonti, Jimi Hendrix, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, KRS-One, and Bob Marley, to The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Gipsy Kings, Agua Clara, The Fugees, Carlos Santana, Sade, Jewel, India.Arie, The Dear Hunter, and The Roots. I regularly have "million-dollar ideas". I find beauty in the simple complexity of life. I love to travel and learn about other places and cultures. I enjoy discussing spirituality, politics, science, space, time, love, nature, and humankind. I'm fit, slim, attractive, and maintain an extremely healthy diet. You can buy a million products and treatments, but prevention is the best cure, I say. For sports and activities, I enjoy all kinds of dancing, biking, hiking, camping, canoeing, yoga, softball, ping pong, horseback riding, snowmobiling, and martial arts. I'm hoping to start teaching ballroom dance soon, although I'm a Graphic Artist by trade. I'm also enrolled to begin an Herbalist Apprenticeship this fall, where I will learn about the sustainable growth, harvesting, proper methods of extraction, and medicinal and aromatic uses, of herbs. I have plans to start my own business in the next two years and I'll gladly tell you, about if you are interested. Staying young at heart keeps me engaged in life and always makes things interesting. I like coming up with spontaneous, good, clean, fun things to do. Sneaking into swimming pools, turning paintings upside down, stopping the car then getting out & racing down the street, dressing up as a "Fed-Up" delivery person, planning parties, creating new recipes, dirty dancing in public, beating you at chess. . . these are a few things that exhilarate me. I give excellent advice, which I've been told is better than therapy, and that I should start charging. (I've even had friends stop seeing their therapists after talking with me!) I interpret dreams as well. I'm definitely a horse of a different color, so trying to fit me into a category is futile. I'm the black sheep, the lady fair, the patient wife, the ache inside, the kind of woman who will take you there. A perfect blend of traditional and modern, I'm a work in progress. I'm just as at ease at a banquet of well-to-dos as I am camping in the woods, walking in a "dangerous" part of town, mingling with artists and IVY-leaguers, serving food at a soup kitchen, dining at top restaurants, or at home, cooking and making my house sparkle. I can be tough when I need to, and soft when the mood is right. For me, most things in life aren't measured by the quantity, but the quality. I could be an Olympic gold-medalist, but if I didn't enjoy what I was doing, what's the point in the end? I seek the good vibes that you can't deny. Change is inevitable, and I feel that in order to maintain a relationship, you must learn to grow together by finding a balance between consistency and mystery. If you're looking for complacency, I'm not your girl. If I see you doing wrong, I will not stand idly by. My downfalls are being picky (or you could say I'm selective, to view this in a positive light), being so thorough that I often take a long time to do things (also could be looked at positively), having been married already (chock one up to experience!), and not being a morning person. Oh, and I have 2 metal plates in my cheek from a bad accident at age 16. Not noticeable to most people, but worth mentioning, I suppose. No, I'm not a Barbie doll! I'm a real person with flaws, feelings, and emotions, and I expect the same from you. I highly value respect and open communication. If those are in place, I'll be the most easy-going person you can find. Balance, growth, nature, wisdom, patience, peace of mind, respect and honesty are things that I value the most. If you do too, we just might be ok. :-)
