About me:
I am an artist, totally and completely. I see beauty in everything around me. I love to laugh and be around people who I know and love. I get a kick out of watching squirrels and rabbits running around my Chicago neighborhood. I love the lake. Water is so soothing to my soul. I've overcome a great deal of pain and difficulty in my life, but it has made me stronger. Not that I am strong ALL the time. I need my friends. I love to give whatever I can--whether it's making a meal, giving someone a painting to cheer them up, writing a real letter, picking wildflowers...showing love and caring are very important to me. This world is far too selfish. I love God, my heavenly Father. He is restoring my heart one day at a time. I love to talk about my faith and discuss matters of faith with friends and family. I pray a lot. It is very important to me. Without God, I would not still be here today. I believe in miracles. And I also believe that God is with me through the darkest times as well as the best times. He has been my constant friend. Hmm...I grew up in the Cleveland-Akron suburbs in Ohio, but moved to the Chicago area when I was 17. I've been here pretty much ever since! I love Chicago, but I would be open to trying somewhere else. I moved downtown in 2005, and I love the city! I went to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago for my bachelor's degree in painting and drawing, finishing up my studies there on a grant to go to Prague for 6 weeks and paint at AVU--the amazing art school there. Incredible experience! I would love to travel more someday. I would especially love to visit all the places my family comes from on both sides. Sicily, Finland, and Slovenia. I look like my Slovenian grandmother, but I have an Italian personality! That says probably WAY too much about me!!
